NEW ORLEANS Temporary  Associate

As of Friday March 27, 2020, Mallard Group has been tasked with finding 15 or more temporary workers willing to go to work as soon as possible. We realize a vast majority of businesses in New Orleans have been shut down, leading to mass lay-offs. We want to put our New Orleans brothers and sisters back to work instead of bringing in one of our road crews. 


What we know: 

We are hiring 15 or more people to perform simple, laborer-type tasks. We are seeking men and women able to possibly lift light and heavy equipment, boxes, and supplies for companies involved in healthcare in the New Orleans, LA area. 

What we don't yet know:

Pay information is not yet known, but we always pay fair wages regardless of the tasks given. It will certainly exceed minimum wage. We don't yet know how long the job will be either, as we don't know how long the effects from the COVID-19 pandemic will be felt. We are expecting it to last about 6 weeks or so, but could go longer. We want applicants to know they will be able to return to their previous jobs once the dust settles. 

Grocery stores and other big-box retailers are finding it very difficult to keep their shelves stocked these days! They are also struggling to keep their merchandise organized according to plans. What we know:​

We are hiring to staff a major merchandising project at a Texas-based grocery store chain with 300 stores. We are looking to staff 15 employees at each store for a merchandise "reset" project starting in about 3, maybe 4 weeks, and the project will go for about 3 weeks. Therefore, it's knowingly a temporary job. We are looking for candidates with experience working with plan-o-grams to set retail merchandise. Plan-o-gram experience is not required but it is an advantage for selection. RIGHT NOW, we are hiring in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, South Texas (the Valley) and Central Texas, and Louisiana.

  • Reliable transportation is a must.

  • Need to own a box-cutter / utility knife

  • Must have strong work ethic, the ability and willingness to learn and work hard.

  • Must complete a new hire package and possess required documents for I-9 verification.

  • May require some full-length shifts with most of it being on your feet. 

  • The ability to lift boxes up to 25 pounds is not required, but it is recommended.
